Engineers

The Board does not accept electronic signatures or scanned copies of applications.
All submissions must have a wet signature to be processed by the Board.
Handwritten or incomplete forms will not be accepted.
Pending applications and any supporting documents will be kept on file for one calendar year.

Professional Engineer Examination

Complete this for approval to take the PE

This application should be utilized to obtain approval to sit for a Professional Engineer examination. Upon passing the exam, applicants will be required to submit the Professional Engineer by Exam application for licensure.

Additional Forms for Licensed Individuals

Application for Reinstatement
If your Kansas Professional Engineering license has lapsed or been cancelled, you must complete the Reinstatement Application. The fee is $100.

Return to Practice Application
If your Professional Engineering license has been on Inactive status, you must complete the Return to Practice Application to change your license to Active status. Continuing education is required for Active status.

Emeritus Status Application
A Professional Engineer who chooses this status may not practice in Kansas, however they may use their professional title in conjunction with the word "emeritus." No renewal required.
